LiftAtlas is a fitness and strength tracking app that allows users to create an account, log workouts, track progress, use health and fitness features, upload a profile picture, add friends, create or join groups, and use social features such as leaderboards, milestones, and showcases.
By using LiftAtlas, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

When you create and use a LiftAtlas account, we may collect:

- Authentication provider information
- Account creation date
- Account settings
- Login and authentication information
We use this information to create your account, authenticate you, sync your data, secure the app, and provide account-related features.
2.2 Profile information
You may provide profile information such as:
- Birth date
- Height
- Weight
- Weight target
- Profile picture
- Fitness-related profile settings
- Other profile details you choose to add
We use this information to personalize LiftAtlas features, calculate fitness-related values, display your profile, and improve your experience in the app.
2.3 Workout and fitness data you enter in the app
LiftAtlas stores workout and progress data that you create in the app, including:
- Workout sessions
- Exercises
- Sets, reps, weights, rest times, and notes
- Workout history
- Personal records
- Strength scores
- Rankings
- Milestones
- Progress charts
- Exercise preferences
- Workout plans, splits, and related settings
We use this data to provide workout tracking, progress calculations, rankings, recommendations, history, and other fitness features.
2.4 Social data
If you use LiftAtlas social features, we may collect and process information related to friend requests, friend connections, group membership, group names, group pictures, leaderboards, milestones, achievements, rankings, and showcase items you choose to display.
2.5 Uploaded content
If you upload a profile picture or group picture, the image is stored so it can be displayed in the app. Uploaded images may be visible to other users depending on the relevant feature, such as friends, groups, leaderboards, or profile views.
2.6 Push notification data
LiftAtlas may process a device push token or similar notification identifier to send app-related notifications, such as workout or rest timer notifications, friend requests, group notifications, social updates, achievements, milestones, account notifications, or service-related notifications.
2.7 Technical and device information
We may automatically collect limited technical information needed to operate, protect, and improve LiftAtlas, such as:
- Device type
- Operating system version
- App version
- Language or region settings
- Firebase installation identifiers
- IP address
- Log data
- Crash or diagnostic information, if crash reporting is enabled
- Basic security and abuse-prevention information
2.8 Support communications
If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address, your message, information needed to understand or resolve your request, and related account or technical information.
2.9 Website information
When you visit liftatlas.app, limited technical information may be processed by our website hosting, DNS, security, and infrastructure providers. This may include IP address, browser type, device information, request logs, security logs, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address.
3. Apple HealthKit and Apple Health data
If you choose to connect LiftAtlas with Apple Health, LiftAtlas may request permission to read selected health and fitness data from Apple HealthKit.
Depending on the features you enable, this may include:
- Steps
- Active energy
- Sleep data
- Other supported health and fitness metrics shown in the app, if enabled
LiftAtlas only accesses Apple Health data after you give permission through Apple’s permission system. You can grant, deny, or remove access at any time in your device settings.
We use Apple Health data only to provide health and fitness features inside LiftAtlas, such as displaying health metrics, progress, charts, history, summaries, or related fitness insights.
If LiftAtlas stores selected Apple Health data in your account, it is stored only to provide app features such as history, charts, summaries, and progress tracking. You can request deletion of this data as described in this Privacy Policy.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Authenticate users
- Store and sync your profile and workout data
- Provide workout tracking and history
- Calculate progress, rankings, scores, milestones, and related fitness features

Contract
We process account information, workout data, profile data, and related app data because it is necessary to provide the LiftAtlas service you request.
Consent
We rely on your consent for certain optional features, such as accessing Apple Health data, receiving push notifications where consent is required, or uploading optional profile content.
You can withdraw consent where applicable, for example by changing Apple Health permissions, notification permissions, or app settings.
Legitimate interests
We may process limited technical, security, and diagnostic information to maintain, protect, improve, and secure LiftAtlas.
Legal obligations
We may process information if required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
6. Third-party services and processors
LiftAtlas uses trusted third-party services to operate the app and website. These services may process personal information on our behalf.
Firebase and Google Cloud
We use Firebase and Google Cloud services to provide app functionality, including authentication, database storage, cloud storage, cloud functions, push notification infrastructure, security, operational services, and crash or diagnostic services if enabled.
Data such as account information, profile information, workout logs, social data, uploaded images, notification tokens, and technical information may be processed by Firebase or Google Cloud depending on the feature.
Apple HealthKit and Apple Health
If you give permission, LiftAtlas may read selected health and fitness data from Apple HealthKit. Apple controls the Apple Health permission system, and you can manage access in your device settings.
LiftAtlas does not use Apple Health data for advertising, marketing, tracking, or selling data.
Apple Push Notification service
LiftAtlas may use Apple Push Notification service to deliver push notifications to your device.
Cloudflare
The LiftAtlas website may use Cloudflare for domain, DNS, security, content delivery, and related infrastructure services. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP addresses, request logs, and security-related data when you visit the website.
Advertising partners
LiftAtlas may show advertisements to free users if advertising is enabled in the app. To provide ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and manage ad frequency, we may use advertising partners such as AppLovin MAX and its mediation partners.
Advertising partners may process device information, advertising identifiers where permitted, IP address, app interaction data, and other technical information.
We do not share Apple HealthKit data with advertising partners. We do not use Apple HealthKit data for targeted advertising, behavioral advertising, or tracking. Where required, we will ask for your permission before allowing tracking or access to advertising identifiers.
8. Health and fitness information
Fitness, workout, body measurement, and health-related information can be sensitive. LiftAtlas is designed to help you track and understand your own fitness progress, but it is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
You should not rely on LiftAtlas for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions related to health conditions, injuries, medical treatment, or significant changes in exercise or diet.
9. Data retention
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary to provide LiftAtlas, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.
In general:
- Account data is kept while your account exists.
- Workout history is kept while your account exists or until you delete it.
- Profile information is kept while your account exists or until updated or deleted.
- Uploaded images are kept until removed, replaced, or your account is deleted.
- Social data is kept as needed to provide friends, groups, and related features.
- Push notification tokens are kept as needed to send notifications and may be removed when no longer valid.
- Support messages may be kept for a reasonable period to provide support and maintain records.
- Technical logs may be kept for a limited period for security, debugging, and operational purposes.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account unless we need to keep certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate business reasons.
10. Account deletion and data deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal information by using the account deletion feature in the app, if available, or by contacting us at support@liftatlas.app.
When your account is deleted, we will take steps to delete or anonymize your personal information, including account data, profile data, workout data, uploaded profile pictures, and other data associated with your account.
Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, logs, security records, or where retention is required by law. If you are a member of a group or have interacted with other users, some limited information may remain if necessary to preserve the integrity of group records, leaderboards, security logs, or other shared features, unless deletion is technically and legally required.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
- Object to certain processing
- Restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Request a copy of your data

12. International data transfers
LiftAtlas uses third-party service providers that may process data in countries other than your own. For example, Firebase, Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Apple, and other infrastructure providers may process data in different regions.
Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as contractual protections, data processing agreements, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and improve security over time.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for using a strong password.
14. Children’s privacy
LiftAtlas is not intended for children under the age of 13.
If you are under 13, you should not use LiftAtlas or provide personal information to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information.

15. Advertising and tracking
LiftAtlas may show ads to free users if advertising is enabled in the app. Advertising partners may process certain technical information to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud, and manage frequency caps.
We do not use Apple HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or tracking. We do not share Apple HealthKit data with advertising partners.
Where required, LiftAtlas will request permission before tracking you across apps and websites owned by other companies or accessing advertising identifiers.
16. Analytics and diagnostics
LiftAtlas may use analytics, crash reporting, or performance monitoring tools to understand app usage, identify bugs, improve performance, and maintain reliability if these tools are enabled in the app.
These tools may process technical information such as app version, device type, operating system version, crash logs, performance data, and app interaction events.
We do not use Apple HealthKit data for analytics unrelated to health and fitness features inside LiftAtlas.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, website, email, or another appropriate method.
